The bond between a mother and her daughters

I was so flattered when a friend of mine asked me to take photos of her with her sister and mother. Her sister is in the middle of breast cancer treatment. The thought behind the photoshoot was to document her strength and to lift her spirits.

The love and energy between these three is contagious. I have never met a family that could go from razzing each other to full of love and support in no time.

I loved that they came forward with some of their own photo ideas but also let me have some fun posing them. They had outfit changes, props and signs. The rest just happened organically.

I had to hold back tears for a few photos and a few others got me during the editing process.

Shelli, you inspire me. Your strength is incredible. You have owned every aspect of this journey and it is beautiful. I may not know you well but I am in your court.

Jennifer, thank you for letting me tell this story. You have been a great friend and a wonderful nurse to learn from.

Vicki, thank you for raising two amazing women. The world is a better place with the three of you in it. I am sure of it.
